Wolves 0-1 Liverpool FA Cup replay: Match report, player ratings, fan reaction & more

Wolves and Liverpool clash in an FA Cup replay on Tuesday evening.

The previous tie saw Wolves get the better of Liverpool, who have been in horrific form of late.

However, VAR issues meant Wolves had a late winner ruled out and a replay was forced upon the Midlands-based outfit.

And when all was said and done on Tuesday, Liverpool edged out a 1-0 win.

The game began in fairly scrappy fashion but Liverpool opened the scoring 12 minutes in with a stunning long-range effort from Harvey Elliott.

Following the goal, Liverpool dominated the possession and continued to test Wolves’ backline. Wolves, meanwhile, continued to attempt to play out from the back but lost the ball on numerous occasions.

Fabio Carvalho then thought he had scored Liverpool’s second after 35 minutes but he was offside.

However, Wolves still struggled to create any clearcut chances, with Ruben Neves’ free-kick 73 minutes in their best chance.
