Why Thiago Silva expects Graham Potter to thrive with Chelsea

Chelsea are in the midst of a poor run of from despite spending over £600m in the last year.

Chelsea are currently sat 10th in the Premier League after the weekend’s action.

The Blues are struggling for goals and have scored the fewest of the top 11 clubs in the division.

They are also 10 points adrift of a Champions League place, with a top-four finish in 2022/23 looking very unlikely.

This has seen speculation mount over Potter’s future at Stamford Bridge.

However, Thiago Silva is still of the opinion that Potter will come good with Chelsea:

“Not enough time has passed to comment on something so important. I don’t like to make comparisons of people, of styles, of work,” Silva told Parimatch.

“On the pitch, he’s a coach that shows you what you have to do and what you’ve been doing wrong. Off the pitch, he’s an amazing human being which I think, when managing a football team, can actually be more important than being a coach. So he has these two aspects to him that I think are very important for someone in his position.”
