An explanation for Roberto Firmino’s absence vs Manchester United has been provided by Liverpool.
Liverpool are set to face off with Man United at Anfield shortly.
Ahead of the game, Liverpool released their matchday squad for the clash and it was pretty standard, barring the absence of Roberto Firmino.
However, Liverpool have explained that the Brazilian is out due to a minor foot injury:

Liverpool head into Tuesday’s game on a fine run of form that currently sees them still on course to complete a historic quadruple.
The Merseysiders also have an excellent record against Manchester United in recent times. Since January of 2016, Manchester United have beaten Liverpool just twice in the Premier League .
And whilst a number of games between the pair have ended in draws since then, the gap in quality between the two has increased greatly of late, with the last two meetings seeing Liverpool score nine compared to United’s two.
