Why Jadon Sancho has been left out of Manchester United squad for Spain trip

Jadon Sancho is set to miss out on Manchester United’s trip to Spain this month.

Sancho arrived at Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund to much fanfare.

However, the winger has since struggled to come anywhere close to replicating the form he displayed in Germany.

Even after a few decent games earlier this campaign, Sancho is once again struggling and was left out of the England squad for the World Cup.

And now, Jadon Sancho will not travel with Manchester United to Spain and will instead undergo an individual training regime, United confirmed in a statement:

“The Reds will prepare for the resumption of the domestic campaign later this month by playing two friendlies, away to La Liga sides Cadiz and Real Betis.

“Both games will be broadcast live on MUTV, with the Cadiz clash set for Wednesday 7 December at 19:00 GMT. The match with Real Betis follows at 17:00 GMT on Saturday 10 December.

“Absentees included Axel Tuanzebe, who has remained at Carrington to continue his personal training programme as he recovers from injury.

“Jadon Sancho is continuing his individual training programme as part of a process to get back to his highest level. The club is fully supporting him in this.”
