Why Fabinho is absent for Liverpool’s meeting with Leicester

An explanation for the absence of Liverpool star Fabinho from the club’s matchday squad to face Leicester City has been provided late on Friday evening.

Jurgen Klopp’s troops are of course currently locked in action.

Fresh off a comfortable downing of Aston Villa in their return to action earlier in the week, the Reds have welcomed Leicester City to Anfield, eyeing a 2nd win on the bounce.

And, as things stand, all three points is precisely what Liverpool look headed towards.

This comes owing to a frankly remarkable opening 45 minutes, which saw Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall open the scoring inside five minutes.

Leicester, though, soon proceeded to shoot themselves in the foot, surrendering their advantage owing to not one, but two Wout Faes own goals.

Upon the Reds’ matchday squad being announced prior to kick-off this evening, it quickly became evident that midfielder Fabinho was nowhere to be seen.

After enjoying a timely return to form of late, concern, in turn, quickly spread regarding the Brazilian’s wellbeing.

An explanation, in turn, has since been provided for his omission against Leicester.

And those of a Liverpool persuasion need not worry, with several reliable sources having confirmed that Fabinho’s absence comes owing to the imminent arrival of his first child.
