Who can Tottenham face in the Champions League last-16?

Tottenham potential Champions League opponents for the last-16 have been revealed.

Tottenham had a fairly kind Champions League group draw on paper, with Marseille, Sporting and Eintracht Frankfurt joining the Lilywhites in Group D.

However, the fight for qualification went all the way down to the final gameweek.

Spurs needed to beat Marseille to ensure they secured top spot in the group and did so, winning 2-1.

Tottenham’s potential last-16 opponents

As eventual winners of Group D, Spurs’ last-16 opponents will be drawn from one of six teams who finished as runners-up in their own section.

That number excludes both Liverpool and Eintracht Frankfurt, the respective runners-up from Groups A and D, as at this stage of the competition teams cannot face sides either from their own group or countries.

Tottenham’s possible last-16 opponents: Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan, AC Milan, RB Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund, Club Brugge.

The House of European Football – situated at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland – will host the draw for the Champions League last-16 round.

The ceremony will start at 11 am GMT on Monday, November 7.
