Arsenal lost Gabriel Jesus to a knee injury during the 2022 World Cup with the Brazilian out of action for several months.

He returned at the back end of the 2022/23 campaign and was able to take part in the beginning of Arsenal’s pre-season.

However, Jesus then picked up another problem in his knee at the beginning of this month.

Arsenal kick off their Premier League campaign vs Nottingham Forest on Saturday and fans are desperate to get Jesus back as soon as possible.

So when will Gabriel Jesus be back from injury?

Speaking after Arsenal’s Emirates Cup win against Monaco on August 2, Mikel Arteta said: “Unfortunately, he had a little procedure this morning. He had some discomfort in his knee that has been causing some issues and they had to go in and resolve it.

“But he has been feeling some discomfort in the last few weeks and we had to look at it, we had to make a decision and the best one is to protect the player and get him back as quick as possible so we decided to do it. It is something related to the previous injury that he had and the surgery.”

Arteta’s update suggests Jesus will miss league games vs Forest (August 12), Crystal Palace (August 21) and potentially Fulham (August 26). Arsenal face Manchester United on September 3 and as Arteta said ‘a few weeks’ for the recovery time, the South American should be back in contention to face United.
