Liverpool and Real Madrid are playing out a Champions League last-16 tie at Anfield currently.

We have only seen 45 minutes of action at the time of writing but the match already has the potential to be the game of the season.

Liverpool opened the scoring after four minutes thanks to a lovely Darwin Nunez flick from a Mohamed Salah cross.

A Thiabut Courtious error then gifted Mo Salah Liverpool’s second of the day 10 minutes later, seemingly putting the home side well in control of the tie.

However, a superb strike from Vinicius Jr. allowed Real Madrid to pull one goal back after 21 minutes.

The Brazilian was then able to capitalise on an Alisson error to add his second of the day and see Madrid go in at the break level.

The player in question is Joe Gomez, who has had a tough 45 minutes dealing with Vinicius Jr.
