Tottenham Hotspur star Heung-min Son has piqued widespread attentions on Monday evening, owing to his latest stellar exploits on the international stage.

Son, a short time ago, guided his country back into action.

After opening the international break with a 5-1 drubbing at the hands of Brazil, South Korea were back in friendly action once more, eyeing a return to winning ways up against another South American opponent, on this occasion Chile.

And, when all was said and done, get back on track courtesy of an impressive result is precisely what the Taegeuk Warriors managed.

This arrived in the form of South Korea's result-clinching 2nd of the evening, to round out the scoring in Daejeon.

Tottenham standout Heung-min Son proved the scorer on this occasion, picking up where he left off on the back of a season which saw the 29-year-old secure a share of the Premier League Golden Boot courtesy of a 23-goal haul.

Against Chile, though, Son showcased a seldom-seen aspect of his game, in the form of his ability to find the net from dead ball situations.

After standing over a free-kick for the hosts in a central position just outside the area, the Spurs attacker went on to direct a sumptuous effort into the top-right corner of the net, rounding out an impressive result for his nation:
