Vinicius Jr.’s staggering Champions League knockout goal record revealed after Man City strike

Manchester City and Real Madrid are currently locked in Champions League action at the Bernabeu.

The winner of this semi-final tie will face off with one of the Milan outfits in the final later this month.

As a result, it is fair to assume that the winner of Manchester City vs Real Madrid has a very strong chance of lifting the trophy.

Manchester City have never won the Champions League, with their one final appearance in 2021 ending in defeat vs Chelsea.

Real Madrid, on the other hand, are Champions League specialist, as is their current coach, Carlo Ancelotti.

So, a tough outing was expected for City on Tuesday evening in Spain.

At the time of writing, Real Madrid are winning 1-0.

Kevin De Bruyne, Rodri and Erling Haaland all tested Thibaut Courtois in the opening 15 minutes.

Rodri nearly gifted Real Madrid a goal 25 minutes in when his loose ball was picked up by Vinicius Jr. and played towards Karim Benzema but Ruben Dias made a great block.

Madrid were getting some help from the referee, though, who ignored several fouls and did not book Antonio Rudiger or Dani Carvajal despite several bad tackles on City players.

Real then took the lead after 37 minutes, with Vinicius smashing in an effort from outside the box.

After that strike, it was revealed that the Brazilian has scored seven UCL knockout goals, two vs Man City and five vs Liverpool:
