Xavi opens up on the possibility of Neymar Jr returning to Barcelona

It looks set for a summer of change at PSG this year with key players expected to leave.

Lionel Messi’s departure has already been confirmed and Neymar Jr is another name who is being linked with a move away.

The Brazilian has been subject to strong criticism from the club’s ultras and it is likely he will be looking to move elsewhere.

Several clubs have been linked with the 31-year-old, including Barcelona.

Neymar back to Barcelona?

Xavi has today been asked about the possibility of the Brazilian superstar making a shock return to Camp Nou.

However, the Barça coach has shut down the rumours of a potential return.

He admitted that whilst they are still close friends, the Catalan club have other priorities in the transfer window.

Xavi said: “I’m surprised… He’s not in our plans.

“I really like Ney as a friend, but we have different priorities.”

Manchester United, Chelsea and Newcastle have all been linked with Neymar, but at this stage, nothing appears to be concrete.
