Manchester United need a striker in the summer transfer window.
One of the main names linked has been Victor Osimhen, who is currently dominating in the Serie A with soon-to-be champions, Napoli.
Osimhen has scored 21 and assisted five in 23 Serie A games this season and a further four goals in five Champions League matches.
Such quality in front of goal is exactly what Manchester United need if they are to progress to the next level under Erik ten Hag.
However, recent comments on the part of Osimhen spell bad news for the Red Devils.
Osimhen has spoken about his situation with Napoli and made it clear he’s quite happy with Luciano Spalletti’s side and is grateful for allowing him the opportunity to shine:
“The whole environment you’re talking about deserves this happiness. They are the ones who gave me the confidence that a young player needs to really explode.”
Should Manchester United miss out on Osimhen, Harry Kane and Benfica’s Goncalo Ramos have been touted as other potential options heading into the summer transfer window.
