Tottenham told how much James Maddison will cost as Ange Postecoglou green lights move

Tottenham have made Maddison a priority target

James Maddison is expected to attract a lot of interest this summer with the midfielder having been relegated with Leicester and just one year left on his contract.

Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs who have a strong interest in signing him having been tracking him for years.

This summer could finally be the moment when Spurs firm up their interest in the 26-year-old.

Tottenham told Maddison price tag

James Maddison is a priority target for Tottenham this summer, according to the Telegraph.

New manager Ange Postecoglou has given the club the green light to make the move.

However, Leicester have warned them that a deal will cost in excess of £50 million.

The Foxes believe their price tag is justified due to his statistics, position and his homegrown status.

Tottenham will want to pay less though and will point to him having just one year left on his deal and his desire to get out of the Championship.

The north London club have been long without an attacking midfielder and this will be an important void to fill in Postecoglou’s attacking system.
