Arsenal have been in sensational form over the course of the 2022/23 campaign.
After 17 games the Gunners are sat top of the Premier League by five points, with Manchester City, the current champions, second.
Arsenal have the second best attack in the division as well as the second best defence.
However, as became clear during the second half of Arsenal’s recent 0-0 draw with Newcastle, the north Londoners do lack quality depth.
Arsenal’s starting line elven is playing very well this season, but they have little quality cover on their bench.
This is especially true up front with Eddie Nketiah Arsenal’s only striker now Gabriel Jesus is out for an extend period.
So, it makes sense for Arteta and co. to be looking at forward options in the current market.
And, according to the Mirror, Arsenal are looking to sign Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix on loan until the end of the season.
It is added that the Gunners will have to pay a £13m loan fee to the Spanish club and the player will command wages of around £3m.
Manchester United are also interested in the forward.
