Manchester City have completed the £50million signing of Nico Gonzalez from Porto.
The 22-year-old midfielder has signed a four-year deal, completing a busy January transfer window for the Premier League champions.
City were keen to add a new midfielder to their ranks after a poor season since influential star Rodri’s injury in September.
Gonzalez is City’s fourth signing of the January window, taking their spending this month to a whopping £180m.
The fifth-placed side have also signed joining Abdukodir Khusanov, Vitor Reis and Omar Marmoush as they look to re-ignite their season.

“This is the perfect opportunity for me at this stage of my career,” Gonzalez said.
“I am 23 and I want to test myself in England. There’s no better club than Manchester City for me to do that.
“Look at the squad they have here. It’s unbelievable, full of world-class players. There isn’t a footballer in the world who would not want to be part of this set-up.
“I know the reputation Pep has and I cannot wait to work with him. In fact, I am honoured he wants me to play in his team.
“I am truly excited. I just want to meet my teammates, and the staff here and then I want to play in front of the City fans!”
Gonzalez could make his City debut against Leyton Orient in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday.
