A pair of Premier League clubs are expressing a keen interest in the signature of a star member of the defensive ranks at French giants Monaco, according to reports.
The player in question? Axel Disasi.
Stopper Disasi, for his part, is fresh off another fine season in his home country of France.
Solidifying ever further his immovable presence at the heart of Monaco’s backline, the 25-year-old featured from the off in all but one of the Monegasques’ Ligue 1 outings.
Defensive efforts aside, Disasi also put his talents in the attacking third on show, racking up a combined nine goal contributions across all competitions.
And such endeavours, evidently, did not go at all unnoticed across the continent.
This comes amid claims that not one, but two high-profile Premier League clubs are keeping tabs on the French international with a view to next season.
The sides in question? Manchester United, and Newcastle United.
As per a report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, both Uniteds are ‘exploring’ a potential summer deal for Disasi.
Man United, for their part, are understood to have been in contact with the representatives of the stopper for some time now, with Newcastle having followed suit this week.
Neither, however, have gone as far as to make contact with their counterparts at the Stade Louis II as of yet.
