Premier League giants Liverpool are ready to move for a key member of the midfield setup at Serie A outfit Inter Milan, according to reports.
The subject of engine room reinforcements, of course, has taken its place front and centre in the media chatter surrounding Liverpool for some time now.
This comes as the powers that be at Anfield go about completely rejuvenating what has long represented an area of concern in Jurgen Klopp’s squad.
To this point, a whole host of potential arrivals have been named in the press, from Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham to Alexis McAllister of Brighton and Sporting CP talent Manuel Ugarte.
And now, as alluded to above, the identity of yet another Reds target has been revealed.
The player in question? Nicolo Barella.
Inter, for their part, are fully aware of the interest of their counterparts at Anfield, after contact was first initiated all the way back in January.
With Jurgen Klopp and co. ‘very real’ about striking a deal, negotiations, in turn, are expected to be kicked back into gear over the weeks ahead.
