Hector Bellerin has taken to social media late on Thursday night, to send a message of gratitude to all associated with Arsenal.
The message in question comes on the back of full-back Bellerin’s stint on the books in north London finally coming to a permanent end, after over a decade of service.
In the knowledge that their one-time star defender’s game time would be severely limited on the back of his return to base at the Emirates this summer, the powers that be at Arsenal had long been in discussions with Bellerin’s representatives, over the potential termination of his contract.
And as much has this evening been confirmed, opening the door for the Spanish international to secure a move back to forming stomping grounds, with Barcelona.
As per a statement across the Gunners’ social media platforms:
‘Hector Bellerin has joined Barcelona in a permanent transfer after eleven years with us.’
For three FA Cups and 239 appearances.
For the dedicated support for our local community, GayGooners and so much more.
For understanding what it means to be a Gooner.
Thank you, Hector ❤️
