Reports coming out of Spain have linked Crystal Palace with Real Madrid midfielder, Dani Ceballos.
Goal, citing Spanish outlet Fichajes, report that Crystal Palace have asked Real Madrid about the club’s asking price for Ceballos.
Crystal Palace are said to be willing to offer around £15 million for him.
Dani Ceballos out in the cold in Madrid
Crystal Palace fans are likely most familiar with Ceballos from his time in England with Arsenal.
The Spaniard would first join Arsenal on loan from Madrid in 2019. The now 25-year-old enjoyed a successful first spell with the north Londoners and, as a result, decided to stay at Arsenal on loan for 2020/21 as well.
All told, Ceballos featured on 77 occasions for the Gunners across all competitions, scoring two and assisting five along the way.
However, Ceballos has since returned to the Spanish capital and is seriously struggling for minutes.
In La Liga, the former Real Betis man has made just four appearances this term – totalling just 33 minutes of action.
Apart from that, Ceballos has garnered just 34 minutes of action in the Copa del Rey and no minutes in the Champions League – meaning he has not even managed one game’s worth of action in 2021/22 to date and we are nearly in March.
So, it is pretty obvious that Real Madrid do not value Ceballos too highly and would likely want to get rid of him in the summer as he will have just one year left to run on his current deal.
As for Crystal Palace, they will likely be needing a replacement for Conor Gallagher whose loan expires at the end of this campaign.
