Chelsea have been interested in Gordon for a few weeks now, much to the bemusement of many a Blues fan.
One of the main reasons for this is because whilst Gordon does have potential, he has not exactly set the word alight at Goodison Park, scoring five goals and providing three assists in 53 Premier League outings to date.
Another reason for the backlash to the Gordon transfer, on top of the potential fee, is because Chelsea already have Callum Hudson-Odoi on their books.
Given Chelsea want to sign Gordon for the future, it seems odd that the west Londoners do not simply hand Hudson-Odoi the role they would give to Gordon, rather than loaning him out, which looks set to be the plan.
And now, Chelsea fans are likely to be even more shocked by the new report from Football Insider.
They claim that Chelsea have offered Everton two stars in a sensational £85m cash-plus-player bid for Anthony Gordon.
The two players in question are Armando Broja and Connor Gallagher. It is claimed that the duo are valued at around £30m each, with Chelsea adding an extra £25m in cash on top of that.
Everton are in the market for a pacy striker as well as a central midfielder who can create and score goals, with Gallagher and Broja fitting those profiles.
