To this point, the stopper most widely tipped to follow Koulibaly to west London comes in the form of Leicester City standout Wesley Fofana.

The Blues’ enquiry, it is understood, comes amid hopes of taking advantage of Man United’s interest in the services of Christian Pulisic.
In turn, though the aforementioned Fofana remains the first-choice target at Stamford Bridge, Maguire, quickly falling out of favour under the watch of Erik ten Hag, is now viewed as a legitimate alternative.
