Arsenal are once again looking to tap into the Brazilian market with the club having sent scouts to watch Athletico Paranaense star Vitor Roque, but face competition from another top European side.
And in a blow to the Gunners, it appears the youngster would prefer a move to Barcelona.
According to Sport, the Brazilian teenage sensation believes it would be a ‘wonderful thing’ if the Spaniards come calling in the summer:
“When I watch him (Lewandowski) on TV I always notice his great finishing power, which I think is his strong point. He is spectacular and I followed him at Bayern Munich and now at Barcelona,” he said.
“[…] If I had a player at my side at this level I would try to learn as much as I could. If that happens, it would be very important for my career. It would be a wonderful thing.”
Vitor Roque joined Athletic-PR in April of 2021. The striker has since made 37 appearances for his new side, scoring seven and assisting three in the process.
