Arsenal transfer news: Swap deal touted, free agent targeted & more

Here is all the latest Arsenal transfer news.

First up, Arsenal have been linked with Mykhaylo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk for a number of months now and have reportedly found a breakthrough.

According to the Mirror, Arsenal have agreed a deal in the region of €40m for the 21-year-old winger dubbed as ‘Ukrainian Neymar’ thanks to Edu’s work.

Next, according to Italian outlet Calciomercatoweb, Arsenal are interested in signing Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio in January, but face stiff competition from Serie A giants AC Milan and Juventus.

The 26-year-old’s future has been the subject of much speculation over the recent weeks, with a number of clubs thought to be interested in signing him. Asensio, who will be a free agent at the end of the season, has yet to sign a new deal with Los Blancos

Elsewhere, Arsenal right-back, Cedric Soares, wants to look for better pastures elsewhere as he enters the final 18 months of his contract. Cedric has interest from other clubs and is looking to exit Emirates early in 2023.

But according to Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge, Arteta is said to be keen on retaining the player in January as he feels the squad might be a little bit light at the right back position.
