Arsenal show interest in Wilfried Zaha

Arsenal are showing an interest in Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha, it has been reported.

The Ivorian has been linked with the Gunners for many years now, most notably in 2019 when then-Arsenal boss Unai Emery wanted to bring Zaha to the Emirates instead of Nicolas Pepe.

With the benefit of hindsight, a move for Zaha would likely have worked out much better for Arsenal, so it is easy to see why they may be interested in him once again.

Arsenal’s transfer business for the summer looks to be largely done. However, the Gunners are looking at bringing in a new winger. Wolves’ Pedro Neto is the main target, but with his current contract running until 2027, he is likely to set any potential suitor back a fair bit.

As a result, it is not too surprising to see it reported that Arsenal are keeping tabs on other players, one of which is Wilfried Zaha.

Speaking on The Done Deal Show, Dean Jones said: “They’re not the only two names they’re looking at (Pedro Neto and Yeremy Pino).

“In the background there is Wilfried Zaha. That deal is not moving forward at the moment, but Zaha is definitely one of those players that ticks the boxes and that Arsenal have an eye on. We will have to wait and see if they go down that path, Zaha is obviously in red-hot form at the moment.”
