Arsenal renew interest in Lautaro Martinez with £60m offer on the table

Arsenal are once again being linked with Inter Milan and Argentine striker, Lautaro Martinez.

Reports earlier this year claimed that the Gunners have added Martinez to their shortlist of summer striker options – as Mikel Arteta plots his new-look strike force with Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah out of contract at the Emirates in the summer.

Those links would then die down and were followed by an excellent spell of form on the part of Alexandre Lacazette.

The Frenchman then fell out of favour and Mikel Arteta has since given a chance to Eddie Nketiah.

The Englishman has split opinion during his mini run in the team. But, regardless, the fact remains that at present, both Lacazette and Nketiah will be free agents in June.

There has been some suggestion that Nketiah could now be set to sign a new deal in north London:

But even if he does stay, Arsenal will still require another striker to replace Lacazette.

And, after being linked with pretty much every half-decent striker aged 25 or under in Europe, Arsenal are once again seemingly intertest in Lautaro Martinez.

As per Ekrem Konur, Arsenal have renewed their interest in Martinez and can make an offer of £60m:

Martinez, who is under contract at the San Siro until 2026, has scored 21 and assisted three in 45 outings for Inter this term.
