Arsenal plot €110m Juventus double swoop

Arsenal are looking to raid Juventus in the near future, it has been reported.

Calciomercato are running with the claim that Arsenal are plotting a €110m double swoop for Juventus stars Dusan Vlahovic and Fabio Miretti.

Seeing Arsenal linked with Vlahovic and Miretti shouldn’t come as a surprise. Since Mikel Arteta took over, he’s clearly targeted young up-and-coming players in his recruitment, and has looked to develop and show faith in some of the younger players in the current squad.

But it is not mentioned when Arsenal could move for the players, as signing top names in January is always a difficult task, as clubs are generally not willing to part with top stars midway through a campaign.

Arsenal were linked with a move for Vlahovic when he was still at Fiorentina, but missed out on the Serbian to Juventus, as they did with Manuel Locatelli.

Juventus, though, are not the team they once were, and currently sit 8th in the Serie A with just two wins form seven so far in 2022/23.

Arsenal, on the other hand, currently occupy top spot in the Premier League and look set to be Manchester City’s closest tittle-challengers this term.

Vlahovic is still only 22 and has scored four in six league games for the Bianconeri this season.

He would be a huge upgrade on Eddie Nketiah and would also allow Mikel Arteta to move Jesus out wide in certain games, offering viable cover for Gabriel Martinelli.

As for Fabio Mirretti, he is only 19 years of age but has looked sharp for Juve in the middle of the park.
