The Arsenal faithful have taken to social media on Monday, to send a message to the club, regarding Mikel Arteta’s midfield ranks.
This comes after a permanent departure from the red half of north London was made official a short time ago.
The latest player to have sealed a Gunners exit? Lucas Torreira.
After enjoying a fruitful campaign on loan in Italy with Fiorentina last time out, the widespread assumption throughout the summer to date had been that Uruguayan international Torreira would ultimately go on to bring a definitive end to his Emirates Stadium stint before the window slammed shut.
And now, this evening, as much has been confirmed.
As per a post across the club’s social media platforms, Torreira has sealed a move to Turkey, with Super Lig giants Galatasaray:
‘Everyone at Arsenal thanks Lucas for his contribution during his time with us. We wish Lucas and his family the best of health and happiness in their new chapter with Galatasaray.’
Arsenal are understood to have bagged a fee of €6/7 million through Torreira’s sale.
Thank you and best of luck, Lucas ❤️

As alluded to above, though, if the ensuing reaction across social media is anything to go by, then, evidently, the Gunners faithful are not satisfied simply with the club shifting further deadwood from their ranks.
Instead, Arsenal’s fans have swiftly called for the funds from Torreira’s exit to be put towards a deal for another midfield star.
The player in question? Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans:
