Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Nico Williams from Athletic Club at the end of the season.
The 20-year-old winger has a contract with the Spanish club until the summer of 2024 and Arsenal are hoping to sign him at the end of the season. The player will have just one year left on his contract in the summer and the Gunners will believe that they can sign in for a reasonable price as a result of this.
The north Londoners are not the only side interested in Williams though, as a report from Calciomercato claims that the likes of Liverpool have been following him for a few months now.
Elsewhere, Spanish outlet Fichajes claims Mikel Arteta likes the player a lot because of his pace and the ability to beat his marker.
Williams can operate on both flanks and has scored seven and assisted six in all competitions so far this season.
The 20-year-old also featured in all four of Spain’s games at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
No potential fee has been mentioned, but with Williams set to have one year left on his current contract come the summer, it is hard to see him costing too much.
