The player in question is Xavi Simons of Dutch outfit, PSV.
The youngster joined the Eredivisie side from PSG on a free transfer last summer.
Simons, who can operate as a no.10 and on both flanks, has scored 22 and assisted 12 in 48 games so far this season.
Such a goal return would be a major boost for Arsenal, who need cover for Bukayo Saka, which Simons can provide.
And now, according to Dutch outfit Voetbal International, Arsenal are monitoring PSV’s Xavi Simons and are interested in making a move for the Dutchman in the summer.
However PSG – the club with whom Simons developed – have a buy-back clause worth €12m.
Alternatively, PSG could snap Simons up for €12m, loan him back to PSV for a season and then sell him next summer for a higher fee – if he is able to keep his current form up.
