Agent of Chelsea-linked Moukoko deals Blues big blow

The agent of Youssoufa Moukoko has been discussing the striker’s chances of signing for Chelsea.

It was reported recently that Chelsea are exploring the possibility of bringing Youssoufa Moukoko to Stamford Bridge. A move to Chelsea is certainly not done but other Premier League clubs were under the impression it is advanced and are watching closely.

Moukoko is out of contract at Dortmund at the end of this season and there is a school of thought that Chelsea are doing the groundwork for a summer deal ahead of time, but may find a way to bring him to west London next month.

Moukoko became the youngest player to represent Germany at a World Cup when he came on as a substitute in the 2-1 defeat by Japan in their opening group game, aged 18 years and three days.

However, the young forward’s agent has now suggested that a deal is not close.

He told Sky Sports in Germany: “I can confirm that we are not about to conclude a contract extension with Borussia Dortmund.

“I can also assure you that the numbers that are circulating are simply not correct and Youssoufa was never offered that much. But we are still in contact with Dortmund and will see what the next few days bring.
