Tottenham star singled out for special praise vs Leicester City

One Tottenham star has been singled out for special praise during the Lilywhites’ clash with Leicester City on Sunday.

Spurs played host to Leicester in a Premier League clash this afternoon, well aware that they needed a win to leapfrog Arsenal, who will take on West Ham shortly.

And, after a slow start, Tottenham would run out 3-1 winners on the day. Harry Kane fired the hosts into the lead after 22 minutes, set up by long-time partner, Heung-min Son.

Son then went from provider to goalscorer in the second half, smashing in Spurs' second of the day on the hour mark to kill the game off, before adding his second late on.

Cristian Romero praised

But whilst Son had a hand in all of the hosts’ goals versus Leicester, it is another Tottenham star who has since been singled out for special praise.

That man is Cristian Romero, who was influential at both ends of the pitch once again on Sunday.

The Argentine commanded Tottenham’s backline whilst also playing a key role in his side’s second goal, stepping out of defence to put in two crunching tackles, which led to Dejan Kulusevski taking the ball and setting up Son's strike.

Now, following Romero’s heroics on Sunday, the Argentine has been singled out for praise online, with just some of the reaction to his efforts shown below:
