Tottenham have slapped a £25m price tag on 26 year old midfielder Harry Winks this summer, amid interest from Newcastle and Southampton.

The Englishman, who has 10 caps to his name, began strongly under Antonio Conte, with the Italian preventing his January departure last transfer window.

'Winks has showed to be a reliable player. And for this reason, Winksy will stay here', he revealed. 'I find players that are reliable, and that I can count on them and Winksy showed me that I can count on him.'

However, the arrival of Rodrigo Bentancur threw a spanner in Winks' redemption under Conte, and he has managed just 65 minutes of top-flight football since February, leaving his future up in the air in what feels like a critical summer for the future of the 26-year-olds career.

Now, should anyone want to try and prise Winks out of north London this summer, they will have to stump up a hefty £25 million, according to reports.

Despite the hefty demands, it is thought that Winks is 'expected to depart north London ahead of next season', as Conte continues to revamp the Tottenham squad to his liking, which will likely include the addition of another midfielder as well as new wing-backs, a new centre-back and a backup forward.

And, as per the Mail, 'Southampton and Newcastle are understood to have early interest in the midfielder', as both look to build on midtable finishes last campaign and push towards European football next campaign.

Whether Winks will be happy to give up Champions League football for regular minutes remains to be seen,
