Tottenham set to lose out on Harry Kane replacement to Paris Saint Germain

The Lilywhites have been dealt a blow in the transfer market.

Tottenham are set to lose out on Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo-Muani after it was revealed that the striker is closing in on a move to Paris Saint Germain having turned down the Lilywhites.

Ange Postecoglu’s side sold Harry Kane earlier in the month, and various sources had suggested that the north Londoners had lined up France star Kolo-Muani as his replacement, despite Eintracht Frankfurt demanding around £80m for the 24 year old.

Kolo-Muani enjoyed a breakout season with the German side, scoring 23 goals and grabbing 17 assists in just 46 outings and helping his side push for European football. However, he has been linked with a whole host of clubs this summer and looks set to depart.

It won’t be to north London though. As per Sacha Tavolieri, Kolo-Muani has officially ‘rejected’ the chance to join Tottenham, and will instead move to Paris Saint Germain this summer.

He added that the reason for the Frenchman turning down a move to the Tottenham Hotspur stadium was because ‘Spurs lost too much time by transforming their interest into an offer for the French striker’.

Instead, the French champions pounced, and Kolo-Muani is now expected to sign a five year deal at the Parc des Princes if all goes to plan, with the Frenchman turning down to Tottenham. However, it is added that negotiations between French side and Frankfurt are still in early stages, which could see the deal drag on.

Their defence of the Ligue 1 crown got off to an underwhelming start as they were held to a goalless draw against lowly Lorient last weekend.
