Tottenham fans send Djed Spence message to Antonio Conte after Rennes debut

Supporters of Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur have taken to social media in numbers on Saturday, to send a message to head coach Antonio Conte regarding the talents of Djed Spence.

On the back of a nightmare opening half to the campaign in north London, right-back Spence, of course, was farmed out on loan last month.

Taking his talents to France, the highly-regarded former Middlesbrough prospect opted to link up with Stade Rennais.

And the Rennes faithful, on Saturday, were afforded their first opportunity to see the club’s latest addition in action.

Afforded a starting berth by boss Bruno Genesio, Spence featured alongside fellow Spurs loanee Joe Rodon in a Ligue 1 meeting with LOSC Lille.

As alluded to above, however, it was not Rennes’ fanbase who proved most vocal online when it came to judging Spence’s debut display.

Instead, the England youth international piqued widespread attentions amongst supporters of his parent club.

Evidently impressed by what they were witnessing, those of a Tottenham persuasion, in turn, flooded to social media in their absolute droves.

This came as serious questions were asked of head coach Antonio Conte, owing to his resistance to make use of Spence’s talents over the first half of the term.
