Tottenham fans call for Heung-min Son to be handed new responsibility after latest stunning goal for South Korea

Supporters of Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur have taken to social media in their numbers on Friday evening, to call for attacker Heung-min Son to take on fresh responsibility within Antonio Conte’s squad.

This comes on the back of the Lilywhites standout’s latest stellar exploits on the international stage.

Son’s South Korea were back in action a short time ago, welcoming Costa Rica to Goyang amid ongoing efforts to step up the nation’s preparations for the fast-approaching winter World Cup.

When all was said and done on Friday, the afternoon’s hosts were forced to settle for a share of the spoils.

And even this only came after captain Son conjured up a late moment of magic to draw Paulo Bento’s men level five minutes from time.

As showcased in the footage below, with time fast running out in Goyang, the ex-Bayer Leverkusen man - fresh off a quickfire hat-trick in his last outing at club level - bent a sumptuous free-kick into the top corner of the Costa Rican net:

And the Spurs faithful have since responded in their absolute droves.

Taking to social media on Friday evening, Lilywhites fans the world over have called for Son to be afforded fresh responsibility, as the primary free-kick taker in north London.

This comes with the 30-year-old having found the net from direct set-piece situations on a number of his most recent appearances at international level.
