Tottenham dealt major blow as key man out for 6-8 weeks

Tottenham will be without one of their starting players for around two months, it has been reported.

Tottenham have been dealt a major blow with Hugo Lloris set to be out for between six to eight weeks through injury.

The World Cup winner sustained ligament damage following a challenge late on in last Sunday’s 1-0 win over Manchester City.

Tottenham were without Antonio Conte vs the Sky Blues but still came away with the three points, meaning Man City are still yet to pick up a win at Spurs’ new ground in four attempts.

Lloris does not require an operation following the injury but he will now see him miss some important games coming up for the Lilywhites.

The veteran shot-stopper will miss both of Tottenham’s Champions League Round of 16 ties vs AC Milan.

He will also miss the 5th-round FA Cup clash with Sheffield United and some big Premier League fixtures, including Chelsea and West Ham.

Fraser Forster is expected to be Tottenham’s no.1 in Lloris’ absence.
