The player in question is Casemiro.
Casemiro joined Manchester United from Real Madrid last summer and has been a good signing.
The Brazilian is the defensive midfielder Manchester United have been crying out for, with his leadership and winning mentality a key reason why United were able to win their first piece of silverware since 2017 earlier this year.
Granted, his disciplinary record has been an issue whilst in England, missing over eight games due to suspension already.
But Casemiro is still a major asset and losing him would be a big blow for the Red Devils.
So, Manchester United fans were likely not too pleased with a report from German outlet Kicker, who say that Thomas Tuchel is keen to add leaders to what is described as an ‘unsettled’ dressing room, and Casemiro could be the man that the German manager needs.
A partnership of Joshua Kimmich and Casemiro would be one of the best in the world if Bayern can get it done.
However, Casemiro is under contract at Old Trafford until 2026 and United are unlikely to be too keen to part ways with the South American.
