Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag has, on Friday, provided an insight into the availability of attacking pair Anthony Martial and Antony for the club’s next outing.
The Red Devils, of course, are set to return to action this weekend.
With just three days of rest in the tank on the back of a Premier League meeting with Leicester City on Thursday night, the Manchester giants will welcome table-topping Arsenal to Old Trafford, eyeing a 4th win on the bounce.
Speaking to the media on Friday, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of his squad’s wellbeing was put to Erik ten Hag.
And the Dutch tactician first went on to confirm that a key member of his frontline is set to sit out the action once more.
The player in question? Anthony Martial.
From here, the focus shifted towards another member of the frontline at Old Trafford, in the form of Antony.
Brazilian international Antony, of course, finally sealed a long-awaited move to Manchester this week, in the process reuniting with ex-boss Ten Hag.
And, just days on, the 22-year-old could be involved for his new club, with the Red Devils’ boss having had the following to say when drawn on the chances of Antony being afforded his debut versus Arsenal:
‘[Friday], we have a team session and on Saturday we have a team session, so I will think about [his involvement against Arsenal] and then we will take a decision.’
