A major update on Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar’s proposed return to Barcelona has been revealed on Friday evening.
The name of Brazilian international Neymar has of course come back to the fore in a major way in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the course of the last 48 hours.
This comes after word was forthcoming that the Camp Nou brass had entered into serious discussions over the possibility of bringing the club’s former attacker back to La Liga.
PSG, for their part, are understood to have made it clear to Neymar that he no longer features in the club’s plans.
A sensational loan move to Barca, in turn, has been widely rumoured in the media.
And, if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media is anything to go by, then such a transfer, on Thursday, has taken a major step towards completion.
As per a report from Jose Alvarez of El Chiringuito, Neymar and Barca have reached a ‘total agreement’ on the terms of a contract.
The terms in question, it is understood, are based around net wages of €13 million-per-year, plus bonuses.
Barcelona will now turn attentions towards clearing space from their wage will, with Neymar tasked with finding an agreement on a contract termination with PSG.
Despite a number of hurdles remaining in negotiations, ‘optimism’ is therefore intact that a transfer, in the end, will be forthcoming.
