Manchester United face off with Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.
Ahead of the match, Ten Hag discussed a number of topics in his press conference, including team news.
And it is largely good news for United, with Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford available: “Anthony Martial been training with the group all week, really happy with that situation. Marcus Rashford also joined training, so we are happy with that.”
Ten Hag was also asked how to stop Erling Haaland: “We don’t play against Haaland, we play against Man City. We are convinced of our capabilities. If we act as a team then we can beat our opponents. That is the belief we need, and we need it even more Sunday.”
Manchester City vs Manchester United
For years it was Manchester United who held the bragging rights, but the tide has change and Manchester is now blue.
Last season saw Manchester City come away with 2-0 and 4-1 wins over the Red Devils. However, United now have Erik ten Hag at the helm and are expected to put up a much better fight than they did in their last outing under Ralf Rangnick, which saw them firmly put to the sword.
United have looked much better in recent weeks, though, and it will be interesting to see how Ten Hag fairs against Pep.
