Swansea boss Carlos Carvalhal has been speaking about why Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is “king” of Portuguese football ahead of their clash.
The two Portuguese bosses are set to come up against each other on Saturday with United looking to keep pace with the top four clubs.
On the other end of the spectrum, Carvalhal is fighting for Premier League survival with Swansea.
The Welsh side started the season very poorly and the Portuguese boss has somewhat turned their fortunes around.
Though, they are by no means safe and the club will be looking to get a result against Mourinho’s men this weekend.
Safe to say, Carvalhal is a big fan of his compatriot who made his name with Porto early in his career.
That kick-started his career in Europe and Carvalhal has even explained that Mourinho was the one to open the doors for Portuguese managers abroad.
“He is our king of football,” Carvalhal explained in his press conference today.
“He is the best manager ever for Porto.
“He opened the doors for the new generation of managers to go abroad. He opened the ideas of the world on Portuguese coaches.
“He’s a fighter – what I mean is he’s very good at mind games
“The way he acts, he likes the theatre of it, and he usually wins all these battles. I am completely different, I prefer to be out of the theatre.”
Swansea City announce that they are launching t-shirts with Carlos Carvalhal’s quotes on with all the funds to go to prostate cancer.
