Tottenham’s zero summer signings
There are just five days remaining in the summer transfer window.
Will Tottenham sign any new players before the start of the season?
Many Spurs are fearing that their club may have gone backwards this summer.
By failing to add to their squad, Tottenham may have slipped behind their top six Premier League rivals.
The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool, for example, have significantly improved their squads.
Celta Vigo’s Stanislav Lobotka
On Sunday there’s a new name for Tottenham fans to research online.
That’s Stanislav Lobotka; the 23-year-old Slovak international who plays for Celta Vigo.
According to transfer ITKs Euro United, Mauricio Pochettino has contacted Celta Vigo’s sporting director Felipe Miñambre to enquire about Lobotka’s price tag.
Lobotka is under contract at Celta until 2023, with a release clause of €50 million.
A defensive midfielder, many Spurs fans may draw the conclusion that Lobotka is a possible replacement for Mousa Demeble if the Belgian leaves Tottenham this summer.

Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha
One player who Tottenham seem certain to miss out on is Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha.
According to the Mirror on Sunday, Tottenham have dropped out of the race to sign Zaha.
It is understood Crystal Palace’s fee demanded of £75 million has blown Spurs out of the water with Mauricio Pochettino keen to have signed the forward.
Girona 4 – Tottenham 1
Spurs closed out their pre-season on Saturday with a 4-1 defeat at Girona.
Tottenham fielded an unfamiliar side as their World Cup stars continue to be missing.
Spurs open their Premier League campaign next weekend with an away trip to Newcastle United.
