Rumours are flying around Arsenal Twitter.

According to some of the most influential Arsenal accounts on the social network, Ivan Gazidis has agreed to leave the Gunners to join AC Milan.

To be clear, at the time of writing neither Arsenal nor AC Milan have confirmed the Gazidis switch.

Yet, when the likes of Arseblog are claiming the deal has happened, Arsenal fans should be prepared for the announcement to follow.

Gazidis moving to the San Siro

Claims that Gazidis, the Gunners chief executive, is swapping the Arsenal boardroom for AC Milan’s have been around for weeks.

AC Milan have had an crazy summer behind the scenes Chinese owner Yonghong Li defaulted on his AC Milan debts, and subsequently he’s lost control of the Rossoneri.

US hedge fund Elliott Management Corporation are now in control of the famous Italian giants, and changes are afoot.

It’s widely believed that the Elliott group have earmarked Gazidis as their top candidate for CEO.

That role is currently filled by Marco Fassone, but most think Fassone is toast.

Would Gazidis leaving the Gunners destabilise the club? Or could it be a good thing for Arsenal as the club have backtracked in recent seasons with Gazidis at the helm?

Gonzalo Higuian to AC Milan

Thursday was a busy day for AC Milan.

In headline news, Milan completed the loan signing of Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus.

Higuain’s move to Milan triggered Leonardo Bonucci returning the Juventus after just one season in Milan.

At the same time, Mattia Caldara has also left Juventus to AC Milan to complete comings and goings.
