Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas still hates Spurs
Cesc Fabregas may not be at Sol Campbell levels of hatred amongst Spurs fans, but it is safe to say he isn’t a popular man in the white half of north London.
The Spanish playmaker has played for both Arsenal and Chelsea, two of Tottenham’s local rivals.
Fabregas has also enjoyed some big victories over Spurs, with both Arsenal and Chelsea.
Cesc missed Chelsea’s 2-1 win at Wembley in the Premier League earlier this season.
But, Fabregas came off the bench for Chelsea as they won the FA Cup semi-final in 2017/2018.
Fabregas Trolls Spurs ahead of North London derby
Whilst Fabregas is a key man for Chelsea, he still clearly has affection for the north London derby fixture.
On Sunday, Fabregas retweeted a famous goal he scored in the north London derby.
The goal in question is amongst the most famous scored by an Arsenal player against Spurs at the Emirates Stadium.
“Sunday morning football”
Arsenal scored twice in 11 seconds, with Fabregas claiming the second straight from a Tottenham kick off.
Fabregas robbed the ball back and danced his way through before scoring past Heurelho Gomes.
After the game, then Spurs manager Harry Redknapp described the goal as follows: “Giving Fabregas the ball from the kick-off was Sunday morning football.”
Fabregas regains the hearts of some Arsenal fans
Cesc Fabregas is currently enjoying some time off in Barcelona as he was not chosen by Spain for their friendlies this week.
Spain play Russia on Tuesday after smashing Costa Rica 5-0 on Saturday.
Arsenal fans have hailed Cesc Fabregas for the retweet. Which can be seen below. We doubt Chelsea supporters will mind too much. After all the Blues also enjoy seeing Tottenham concede goals.
