Sheffield United boss Paul Heckingbottom continues to contend with a host of selection woes as the Blades welcome Newcastle United to Bramall Lane this weekend, with the possibility of dropping into the bottom three on the cards.
As many as twelve players could miss out on selection, but thankfully for Heckingbottom, a cadre of the walking wounded are set for returns to first-team service in the near future.
Ben Osborn, John Fleck, and Max Lowe are all guaranteed to miss out via injury, while Oliver McBurnie will be unavailable after being sent off last time out against Tottenham. George Baldock, Daniel Jebbison, Rhian Brewster, Rhys Norrington-Davies, John Egan, Yasser Larouci, William Osula, and Ismaila Coulibaly are all doubts and not expected to take part in any capacity, but a number could be in the running for the following weekend’s fixture.
