Aguero misses two penalties
Sergio Aguero, who is usually one of the most deadliest strikers in world football, missed two penalties for Manchester City, in the space of 13 minutes. The Argentine international twice had the chance to extend Manchester City’s advantage early on in the first half, however, he missed on both occasions.
Manchester City, who have began their Champions League qualification campaign tonight – against Steaua Bucharest – currently lead 2-0 at the break thanks to goals from David Silva and Sergio Aguero (surprisingly not from the penalty spot). However, they probably should be 4-0 up seen as though their star striker and talisman, Sergio Aguero, twice failed to hit the back of the net from 12 yards out. He did eventually make up for it with his goal, however, he could have had a hat-trick if he’d have been more accurate from his spot kicks in the first half.
Twitter reacts to Aguero’s penalty misses
The first penalty from Aguero was saved by the Steaua Bucharest goalkeeper Florin Nita, however, there was no excuse for the second penalty as the striker struck the ball on to the bar and over.
