Rio Ferdinand has offered Manchester United some advice regarding their manager hunt.
This, of course, comes with the Red Devils still yet to appoint a permanent coach following the dismissal of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The likes of Erik ten Hag and Mauricio Pochettino have been the main names linked.
However, Rio Ferdinand has urged the Manchester outfit to seek out Thomas Tuchel amid Chelseaβs ongoing ownership issues:
βIf that was the case and the roles were reversed, trust me, Roman and the empire would knock down the door. They wouldnβt even knock down the door, theyβd run round the side and take him.
“Tuchel would be the one. Heβs got the pedigree. Heβs shown already that he can come into this league, heβs adapted straight away, heβs won the Champions League, he can galvanise a squad, he can get them playing. He can create a culture, create a togetherness. Heβs got discipline.β

What has Tuchel said about taking the Manchester United job?
βDo you feel me less committed or involved with this club,β TuchelΒ asked. βAbsolutely not. I love to work for Chelsea and this club has everything it needs to make me happy.β
Of course, a lot could change in the next few months but, given the state Manchester United as a club find themselves in, it is hard to see why any properly top manager would wish to go there at present.
