Revealed: The key factor Mikel Arteta has improved with Arsenal

Fabrizio Romano has outlined they key change Mikel Arteta has made since he became Arsenal manager.

Arteta has had a mixed stint as Arsenal manager so far. The Gunners did win an FA Cup in 2020, but also finished 8th two seasons in a row.

They have begun to grow as a side, though, and finished 5th in the Premier League last seaosn, narrowly missing out on the top-four.

Arsenal then recruited well in the summer and are currently sat top of the Premier League despite Manchester City being in great form and having the best striker in the world on their books.

Fabrizio Romano believes the key to Arsenal’s improvement has been as well as high-level tactical skills, the way Arteta has improved how he speaks to his players:

“I have really appreciated the Arsenal project for more than a year,” Romano explained. “They showed trust in the manager in the difficult moments of 2021, Edu is doing great job, and I’m told that the atmosphere into the dressing room is amazing.

“Since June I think they are among the candidates for the title, obviously with Man City as favourites.”
