Gareth Southgate is expected to make a big decision regarding his England future after this winter’s World Cup.


Following another poor set of performances and relegation from League A of the Nations League, the pressure is now really on Gareth Southgate.

Regardless, he is expected to lead England into his third major tournament at this winter’s World Cup.

But after Qatar 2022, the 52-year-old is expected to make a key decision over his future with the Three Lions.

The Telegraph report that there is a growing feeling that Gareth Southgate will decide to step down after the World Cup.

Regardless of how England fare in Qatar, the former Middlesbrough coach is expected to walk away from his position.

Southgate has done a tremendous job in restoring pride in the national team.

He has guided them to a World Cup semi-final and a European Championship final.

However, despite these two performances, he has still received much criticism for his failures in the big moments and certain performances.

The Three Lions’ final match before travelling to Qatar saw them held to a 3-3 draw with Germany at Wembley.
