Revealed: The 14 Premier League players earning more than Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah

Mo Salah notched his 150th Liverpool goal against Norwich

It is probably not too much of a stretch to say that Mohamed Salah is one of the best players in the world right now.

He has also been Liverpool’s best player during the Jurgen Klopp era, netting a staggering 153 goals and providing 57 assists for the Reds.

Only Michael Owen (158), Robbie Fowler (183) and Steven Gerrard (186), have scored more goals for Liverpool in the Premier League era.

However, Salah’s future at Anfield remains up in their air. The Guardian report that the Egyptian’s preference is to stay at Liverpool, but he and his agent - Ramy Abbas Issa - have dismissed the club’s most recent contract offer and no talks have been held since December.

And with Salah out of contract in 2023, Liverpool could be forced to cash in on him this summer, or risk losing him for free at the end of next season.

14 Premier League players earning more than Mo Salah

The exact figure Salah wants to be paid in any new deal at Liverpool is unknown, but it is easy to see why the African would want a much-improved contract when you look at who is currently being paid more than him at present.

The Mirror, citing Spotrac, have revealed 14 PL players that are earning more than Salah right now.

Virgil van Dijk is number 14 on the list, earning £11.4m per year, which works out at around £219,000 per week.
